PEDAL CYCLES IN GREENGATE STREET, STAFFORD

Can we please remind everyone pedal cycles should not be ridden on Greengate St, Stafford. It is a pedestrianised road, and only emergency vehicles, cash in transit and pharmacy deliveries should be allowed to drive through the  main street.

We have seen an increase in complaints regarding the constant use of pedal cycles, especially those being ridden in an anti social manner and on many occasions doing wheelies.

It is a breach of the Public Space protection Order (PSPO) which can result in a £100 fine should officers witness this.

We appreciate it is the school summer holiday's, but can we please ask parents to ensure their children are aware of the PSPO, as it will be parents who will be issued with a fixed penalty notice to pay on the child's behalf.

We cannot stress enough the importance of adhering to the PSPO ruling. It is there for everyone's safety.
